Catbird House is a newly built home with outstanding views across Okanagan lake. Down our private trail there is a rustic lakeside cabin with secluded beach, 100-foot dock, boat lift and fire pit. Swim, paddle, fish for trout, or simply sit back and watch the abundant wildlife including many species of birds as well as marmots, ground squirrels, beavers and deer. In the evenings, listen for owls and coyotes while watching the shooting stars in the spectacularly clear night sky.
The space
The main house has three bedrooms and three bathrooms as well as a pool and a hot tub.
The large deck below the pool overlooks the lake and has an open air outdoor BBQ station, a 12 seat dining table and a firepit.
The 5 minute walk down to the lakeshore ends at our 2 storey cabin with its deck and dining table hanging over the beach. On the main floor of the cabin there is a sofa bed, a fridge, a sink, and small appliances including a microwave, toaster and kettle. . Upstairs there are 2 single beds and an ensuite 'Cinderella' (incinerating) toilet.
Outside there is a propane bbq and staircase to the dock on one side of the cabin and an elegant outdoor shower and staircase to the beach on the other side.
We have 2 stand up paddle boards, 1 extra large (6 man) paddle board and a kayak and canoe for guests' personal use and enjoyment.

Other things to note
The trail to the lakeshore is a natural grass and dirt path. It is suitable for those with moderate fitness levels. It takes about 5 minutes to walk from the main house to the lakeside.
