Positive: The apartment is very well provisioned with everything you need to make actual meals, not just breakfast. The outdoor space is expansive with very nice views of the sea and cove. The location is very good because it is both a 3 minute walk down to the beach and a 3 minute walk to the Funivia, the gondola/ski lift that whisks you up to the town center (departing every 15 minutes). The gondola ride has great views, BTW. The apartment’s private parking behind a security gate is a huge plus, and the road to it from the highway is relatively easy. We will likely return and stay longer.

Negative: This is not bad, just a heads up that you need to coordinate the accurate timing of your arrival, because the host, Mario, needs to let you into the security gate and show you which of the parking spots is for the apartment.

Summary: Great place to spend a week near the beach, with private parking and easy access to the historic parts of Taormina
