Summary: We had a lovely stay at Don Giulio hotel. We opted to rent a car, which I highly recommend- an underground parking lot is steps away from the hotel and they are very friendly and helpful there. When you stay with the hotel, they don’t charge you at the lot, but you pay the host at the end of your stay (15 EUR/ day). The rooms were incredibly clean and comfortable. Our hosts were very kind and easily available for any questions or concerns via WhatsApp. Although this isn’t necessarily a negative comment, I do wish I would’ve known ahead of time- the pool is not onsite- it is about a 10 minute drive away and needs to be reserved during busy times. We only had a chance to use it once during the week, and while it was lovely, I was very disappointed to find it wasn’t at the hotel directly (as this was the main reason we booked the hotel). Again, not necessarily bad as we still had access to it, but I would have liked to know ahead of time. There was a jacuzzi on the rooftop of the hotel, so we at least had a chance to use it a couple times throughout our stay. Breakfast was great, a short walk to a nearby cafe down the street and all you need to tell them is you are staying at the hotel and they bring you a plate of pastries and your choice of coffee/ croissant/ brioche.
