Positive: We were absolutely delighted with our stay. Everything was clean, tidy and warm, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and always available when needed. We had half board and the food was delicious with a good variety of choices. In the afternoon we were served snacks, which was a great bonus, and for dinner we could choose meals for our children from the kids’ menu, which was very convenient. The wellness area has a smaller but very clean and warm pool, whirlpool tubs and a sufficient number of saunas. I also treated myself to a massage, which was excellent. Just a 2–3 minute walk away there is a small ski and sledding area, and we were lucky to have plenty of snow during our stay. The town of Abtenau is very charming and has everything you need — a Spar supermarket, pharmacies and restaurants. We stayed at the hotel during winter, but we will definitely return in the warmer months to enjoy biking tours and other outdoor activities. Highly recommended!
