Positive: What an amazing place! We had a time of our lives (well, a week) in Kartitsch and only wished we could have stayed for longer: the family apartment we stayed in is spacious and very clean, with very well-equipped kitchen to cater for a wide range of cooking ideas. The hosts are fantastic: very welcoming, knowledgeable of the area and super helpful. There are ample possibilities for mountain hikes in the area, both from the village and nearby towns, complete with cable cars (Sillian, Obertilliach), castles (Heifels) and superb play areas for whole families (Wichtelpark). Great traditional and modern food options nearby include Dorfberg in St Oswald (Tirolean classics) and Rumplstilzchen by the sports centre (burgers!), and a small (but entirely sufficient) local ADEG supermarket just 2km away. Many thanks for a lovely stay -- we wholeheartedly recommend it!
