Explore the nearby hiking trails, bring your kayaks and river tubes, and picnic by the river. The natural setting provides an ever-changing backdrop of beauty, with the sounds of birds and the rustling of leaves enhancing your stay.

This home was intentionally built to resemble a historical Tuscan home/villa. It has over 2,000 sq. ft. of living space, plus a screened-in porch, two patios, a front porch, and a reading nook. The home sits on 3 acres of land, with nature completely surrounding you, with mountain and pasture views and the sound of the nearby New River. Did you know that the New River is considered one of the oldest rivers in the world, estimated to be between 10 and 360 million years old?

There is a whole home water filtration system so you can drink from the tap, but there is also a large filtered water container in the fridge.

The home is equipped with high-end appliances, including a gas 6-burner chef stove and convection oven, dishwasher, large farmer's sink, waffle maker, all-in-one oven, microwave, crockpot, blender, tea kettle, regular toaster, chef knives, pots, all-clad pans, mixer, and baking supplies. For coffee lovers, you can choose between a Nespresso espresso, latte, and cappuccino maker and a regular coffee maker, bean grinder, and milk frother. The dishes, serving trays, plastic tumblers, utensils, misc bags, aluminum foil, and parchment paper are all in the buffet table across from the large kitchen table.

There is a large gas griddle outside on the back patio. If you have never cooked on a griddle, I highly recommend it!

There are five Adirondack chairs (with new cushions for each stored in the bin on the screened-in porch), two teak chairs/chaise lounges, a picnic table, blankets, and pillows for you to use and cuddle up in while enjoying the fire, gazing upon the stars, and listening to nothing but nature. You will have complete privacy at this home.

There is a smokeless wood fire pit and a regular fire pit for both the front and back patios, and a small stack of wood is provided to get you started.

For extra sleeping options, there are queen-size and twin air mattresses, plus an oversized sectional leather couch (Restoration Hardware) that can easily fit two grown men on each end. So, the home can easily sleep 6. Extra sheets, blankets, comforters, and pillows are provided and can be found in the upstairs bedroom closet.

Beach towels for enjoying the river are also provided. We have many board games, including chess, backgammon, cards, card shufflers, puzzles, and a library of popular and classic books. Please enjoy them while you visit, but kindly put them back before you leave so other guests may enjoy them.

The family room has a DVD player, DVDs, a record player, speakers, and a crate full of our favorite record albums for you to enjoy.

Up to 2 dogs are allowed for an additional non-refundable fee of $75. Dog wipes, towels, bowls, and waste bags are provided. The Owner is highly allergic to cats and animal dander, requiring an epi-pen. Please do not bring your furry cat friend.

There is a $500 fee for smoking on the premises or bringing any animal other than a dog.

Late Departure:The Guest agrees there shall be no holding over or late departure without prior approval. Any unauthorized holding over by the Guest shall be subject to a charge of 1 and 1/2 times the daily prorated rent ("Holdover Rate"), plus any additional damages incurred, including, but not limited to, the cost of alternative housing for other guests displaced by the Guest's holding over.

These fees ensure fair compensation for our cleaners or any subsequent guests affected by delays. If you need a late checkout, please inquire in advance. Depending on upcoming bookings, we might accommodate you, though a fee might still apply.

The occupancy may not exceed the number of people included in the Guest's Booking. The occupancy calculation includes infants and children. The occupancy also includes any and all guests who visit the property, and no parties or other gatherings exceeding the Occupancy limit shall occur without prior approval of the Owner. An additional fee of $50/night per extra Guest may apply, or we might request that you vacate the property.
