The house is just minutes away from Wintergreen Resort, nearby hiking trails, and wineries and breweries along Route 151. Spend the morning admiring the mountain views from the front porch and the evenings star-gazing at the outdoor fire pit. Under three hours from D.C. and 90 minutes from Richmond, it's an idyllic all-seasons getaway.
The four-bedroom, two-bathroom cottage is recently renovated with updated floors, bathrooms and laundry. The fully-equipped kitchen features an antique wood island, new appliances and large extendable dining table perfect for games. The living room includes plenty of seating for games, relaxing with a book and bringing the group together to watch a movie. Enjoy the outdoors cozying up with a cup of coffee to watch the sunrise on the front porch or gathering around the fire pit for s’mores and scary stories. The cabin includes onsite laundry, an in-sink water filter system and fresh air intake that regularly supplies the house with fresh clean air.
The Wintergreen Resort is 5 minutes from the home and has four seasons of recreational activities, including skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing, golf, a full-service spa and swimming. The property is located 5 minutes from Route 151, the heart of the area's winery, brewery and distillery scene. There's several hiking trails near the house, including Camille Trailhead (4 miles), Reid's Gap (4 miles), Spruce Creek Park (4.7 miles), Lower Shamokin Falls (7.5 miles) and Blue Ride Tunnel Trail (19 miles). The city of Charlottesville is located 45 minutes northeast from our property and perfect for sightseeing, shopping and eating.
As a cabin with many comforts of the woods, we also know that this can mean some discomforts - including bugs in the summer and outdoor wildlife. Outdoor wildlife is more afraid of you than you are of them, but please be mindful of your surroundings outdoors. Do not leave doors unlocked or food in your vehicle. Do not leave windows or doors open unattended. The house is regularly treated for bugs and professionally cleaned in between each stay.

Check-out procedures include putting towels in washing machine, loading + starting dishwasher and putting all trash into provided outdoor trash cans. Excessive trash is expected to be taken to an offsite collection site to avoid unwanted animal activity.
