Our boathouse has approximately 1200 square feet of fully air-conditioned living space, plus 2 boat wells. It is located on the canals of the Cove District in Sandusky with views of Cedar Point from the front porch. The property has direct water access from the boat slips and a small deck outside the back door of the boathouse. The 1st floor has a nicely equipped kitchen, dining area, living room (couch has a full-sized pull-out bed), a bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a den which can be closed off to make a 3rd bedroom with a queen-sized pull-out bed, a full bathroom, and a utility room with a full-size front-load washer and dryer. There are 3" memory foam mattress toppers for both pull-out beds. Upstairs is a bedroom with 2 queen-sized beds and a half bathroom. The living room and all bedrooms have smart TV's and ceiling fans. There are 3 parking spots in front of the house, but please note there is no additional parking. This is not a party house! It is for registered guests only.
The door to the boat wells has a manual security lock. For safety, we recommend keeping this door locked at all times to prevent access to the water.

If you would like to bring a boat/s, one slip accommodates boats up to 27' and the other up to 22'. You must get permission from us in advance, and approval will be granted on a case-by-case basis. Please note that advanced boating and docking experience is recommended.
Upon accepting your request to stay with us, we require you to send to us within 48 hours of booking (or before check-in if you will be checking in before the 48 hours) a list of the guests that will be staying in our home along with their age. Then they will become a registered guest. If we do not receive this information, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation.
The premises, property, and amenities are for registered guests only unless prior express permission is given by the host at least 24 hours in advance. No parties or gatherings are permitted on the premises.

No fires of any kind on the premises.
No smoking or vaping inside the house. There will be a $500 cleaning fee for smoking or vaping in the house. If you smoke or vape on the premises, please be sure to extinguish them in liquid and dispose of them properly.
Please put your trash in the exterior trash can by the parking area. Please move it to the curb on Monday night if it has anything in it. The trash is picked up early Tuesday morning.
There are only 3 parking spots. There is no additional parking anywhere.
The property owner is not responsible for valuables kept on the property by guests. Guest must secure their valuables when leaving the property.
Renters are responsible for the cost of missing/lost items (ex: key cards cost $50 each to replace) or damages caused to the equipment, furniture, house, or property by renters or their guests and must reimburse the owner for the appropriate repair or replacement cost.
Swimming is at your own risk. There is no lifeguard on duty. Renters cannot hold property owners responsible for any injuries or damages, health problems, safety concerns, or loss that happen to them or their guests during their stay.
If you fish in the canal, please be sure you are in possession of a fishing license.
Do not clean fish inside the apartment. There is no designated fish cleaning station on the premises. If you clean fish outside, you must clean up all debris, put it in a sealed bag, and dispose of it in the outside trash can.
