Bald eagles are often seen soaring across the water, so keep your eyes to the sky. Take a breathtaking ride along the Blue Ridge parkway which is part of the Appalachian mountain range. Haywood county boasts 46 scenic miles of some of the most beautiful parts of the parkway. Another adventure is the Cherokee Indian reservation which is 20-30 minutes from the cabin. Immerse yourself in the Cherokee culture and heritage at the Indian village and the Museum of the Cherokee Indian. If you are feeling lucky, try your hand at Harrah's Cherokee Casino. Travel through river gorges, trestles and tunnels on a scenic ride through the Smokies on the Great Smoky Mountain Railroad. Take a drive to Asheville and journey back in time to "America's Largest Home" the Biltmore estate and explore the beautiful grounds, gardens and winery or the fabulous arboretum.
