Summary: We just had a wonderful stay in this HUGE chalet with stunning views of the Laurentides. The positive: the funky, eclectic décor was really out there, but fun and interesting with many conversational pieces. There are more than enough sitting spaces for very large groups. We loved that people who wanted more quiet areas had different rooms to choose from (5 separate sitting areas plus the dining room!). 5 ½ bathrooms was also a great feature since it meant almost everyone had their own bathroom. The two master king bedrooms are really nice and spacious with on-suite bathrooms. The chalet is surprisingly soundproof and very well designed. The parking fits more than enough cars and the hot tub has an amazing view. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything we needed. The TV room downstairs has Netflix and fits a lot of people comfortably. Some of the negative points: the listing lacks a lot of information. For example, one queen bedroom upstairs is very small (for hobbits!) and one queen bedroom downstairs is wonderful with patio door and on-suite bathroom. To our biggest dismay, when we got to the chalet, the heating was set to 15 degrees Celsius and we had to call the owners to ask them to raise it remotely, as we could not control the thermostats. We would have preferred arriving to a warm chalet as it was very cold for the first 12-24 hours of our stay. We would have preferred controlling our own heating as well as all the rooms were set to the same temperature. Also, there were no manuals on how to operate the fireplace. Good thing one of our guests figured it out. The wi-fi is good for download, but not for upload. Not all rooms have good reception to the wi-fi. There is a sound system wired, but we never figured out how to play music on it. A lot of the outlets didn’t work and we didn’t have access to the electrical panel to try to figure out if a breaker had been tripped. We never figured out how to operate the dry sauna, even though we followed the owner’s instructions. The chalet is remote which is great but the driveway is EXTREMELY steep and most of the cars that were not 4x4 could not make it up the hill without pushing and a few people got stuck. Towards the end of our stay, somebody came and put sand it the driveway, but it was already way too late for our party of 14. The fact that we needed all-wheel drive to go up the hill was told to us only after we booked and I don’t think it was specified in the listing. Last few minor poin
