Location:
The hut is situated in a truly beautiful, secluded location above Taxenbach in the Salzburg Pinzgau region. Next door is an empty barn, and below is a sparsely occupied alpine hut. Otherwise, only meadows and forests surround the hut, providing wonderful peace and quiet. In front of the hut, you have a wonderful view of the Hochkönig massif. Access by car via a forest road.
Distances:
The nearest towns are Högmoos with shops and a bakery, 5km away, and Taxenbach, 10km away. Taxenbach is a holiday paradise located at the entrance to the Rauris Valley. The Kitzlochklamm natural monument is a popular destination. Zell am See is 24km away. Tauern Spa Kaprun is 25km away. Swimming pools are 11km away, a bathing lake is 15km away, and there are indoor pools, tennis courts, a golf course, and horseback riding are all 12km away.
Equippment:
This cottage with local flavour has on the ground floor a snuggery with kitchenette with wood stove, oven and gas cooker. Chilly cellar room for storing food stuff. Bathroom with shower/toilet. 2 bedrooms with 1 double bed each. Via a ladder you get from the snuggery into the about 140cm high attic floor which has enough space for up to 4 persons. Warm water you get from the boiler, solar electricity 12 volt. In front of the cottage you can enjoy the wonderful alpine landscape. There is also a well, a barbecue, sunbeds and seats.
