Summary: We enjoyed our time in Costa Rica! This property is very nice! It’s comfortable, clean, good location, pretty view from second floor balcony. Close to the Marriott if you want to eat at their restaurants…we went to their steakhouse, Sabanero and also had lunch at their poolside restaurant. We also enjoyed ice cream from Waves and Cream on their property. Hacienda Pinilla is very pretty. This property is very close to the beach (3 minute walk) and we enjoyed snorkeling right there. We saw monkeys many times and that was fun! We had trouble with security at check in and spent a little over an hour waiting at the gate for it to be straightened out. That was a frustrating way to start our trip, but Mark worked it out for us. We went to the Beach Club one of the days expecting to be able to use it for the 5/person fee, but it has changed to 45/person if your rental property doesn’t have a membership. You can still eat in the restaurant there without the fee and we did have lunch there and it was good.We didn’t rent a car so relied on car service. We would rent a car next time.
