For those of you who are not interested in the loads of space, we offer a small (14 sqm) but cozy and well-equipped studio for your stay in Rome. We have renovated a former wash house and transformed it into a modern and refined pied à terre with hydro massage shower and usb wall ports, your comfort being our main concern. Our studio is located in Villa Certosa, a friendly neighborhood (almost a small town) in Rome, 15 mins by bus from Termini Station and 10 mins from the popular Pigneto.
The former wash house (years ago the residents used to wash their own laundry by hand) is now a small and extremely well-furnished studio ideal for single travelers who appreciate and respect a space that has been studied and decorated with love.
There is a comfortable bed (with many pillows), a desk (with Lonely Planet guidebook in English), and a well-equipped kitchenette (with induction hob, sink, mini fridge and small electric oven). The bathroom has a small shower and a hydromassage shower with radio / mp3. And, of course, we provide airconditioning, autonomous heating, wifi and usb wall ports.
You will find all that is necessary to prepare and enjoy your breakfast during your stay: coffee, tea and sugar, bread, jam and butter, organic milk, juice, free range eggs and cereal.
When you arrive we will be there to greet you and give you any information you may need about the studio, the neighborhood and how to move around in Rome. And if you have any other questions we live literally around the corner so we will always be available for having any good part about having us nearby! At your departure we will pass by to say "hello" and collect the keys.
Located in the middle of the Mandrione (with its Roman aqueduct), the Pigneto (with its intense nightlife) and Torpignattara (with its multi-ethnicity), Villa Certosa is an authentic "small town" within the city of Rome. Villa Certosa is a close community that extends along its lovely main street, Via dei Savorgnan. Here you will find small houses built during the First World War, two restaurants, one bakery, and five minutes away, a supermarket (24/7), two restaurants (one specializes in seafood and the other in traditional Roman food). You will enjoy being away from the confusion of the tourist crowds and you will be able to enjoy a genuine Roman atmosphere, which has been, and still is, the location for many movies and TV series set in the "real" Rome. The Pigneto area, with its many restaurants, pizzerias and pubs, where you can enjoy an aperitif or drink after dinner, can be reached on foot in 10 minutes.
At Termini Station you will take the bus 105 (15 minutes / 10 stops) OR the little train (Ferrovie Laziali) that leaves from the southern exit of the station (15 minutes / 8 stops), and you will get off at the FILARETE stop In front of the 24/7 Carrefour supermarket. From the Filarete stop, you will walk along the Carrefour on Via Filarete, then take a left onto Via dei Savorgnan and then walk until you reach the square called Largo dei Savorgnan. We're number 8.
From Fiumicino airport:
You can take the Leonardo Express train (14 € / 35 mins) which brings you to Termini Station or there are many buses that will take you to Termini Station from terminal 3 (around 5 € / 45 mins).
From Ciampino airport:
You can reach Termini Station by two bus companies for 5 € (around 35 mins).
