Named after our first grandson, Damon's Hideaway is brand new construction (2023) that's designed to be unique and with a style all its own. We are former antique dealers and have tried to incorporate that interest in the whimsical decor. Whether desiring to kick back and relax or prepare a meal for a group, or both, this living space can easily accommodate up to five guests. It includes one enclosed bedroom (w queen-sized bed), one loft bedroom (w/ queen-sized bed), a full-sized sleeper sofa and very cozy bassinet. We've hosted singles, families and quite a few toddlers and infants - all have enjoyed their stay thus far! We are situated just off of McHenry Avenue (famous for cruising and Graffiti Night) and very close to the downtown area, just minutes from Gallo Winery and the Gallo Center. There's a Farmer's Market (open from 8am-1pm, Thursdays and Saturdays) within a few blocks, along with the McHenry Mansion, McHenry Museum and many nearby restaurants and art galleries. There's generally plenty of parking available either in front of or next to our Airbnb. While automobiles are ideal, there's plenty to do within bike riding or walking distance.
